Shipping and Delivery

Giant Wholesale Distributors Ltd. (herein referred to as “Giant Wholesale”) is pleased to offer full service to our clients in the Ottawa/Gatineau area within a defined area based on postal code.  See our Service Area Map for further details.  We are often able to assist clients outside of our standard service area (Ontario and Quebec only) though you will need to contact our office to confirm a shipping quote for delivery to your address.  

Most local orders meeting our requirements for no-charge delivery will be shipped within 24 to 48 hours of receipt.  If next day delivery is required please indicate this at the time of order as we are generally able to accommodate such requests for in-stock products.  Local delivery within Giant Wholesale’s regular service area is included at no additional cost for orders of $150.00 or greater before taxes.  A service fee of $25.00 plus taxes will apply to non-qualifying orders below the $150.00 minimum.

Shipping discrepancies or damage claims must be reported, in all cases, within 48 hours of receiving your delivery.  For deliveries outside of our regular Ottawa/Gatineau service area it is the responsibility of the Buyer to note any shipping damage on the carrier’s bill of lading prior to acceptance of the delivery.  In such cases it may be necessary for the Buyer to file a claim directly with the carrier.  Where serious damage to the product is suspected you may refuse delivery of the product altogether.  

In all cases Giant Wholesale requires a customer signature at the point of delivery.


Pick up Orders

Online orders and phone orders can be scheduled for pick up at our sales counter and in such cases our team will advise when your order is ready.  For liability and security reasons we will request government issued identification when picking up as a non-account customer.  Where payment is not received on site, we reserve the right to request ID from any client before releasing goods on account or otherwise.

In all cases Giant Wholesale requires a customer signature at the time of product pick up.


Returns

Products listed as in-stock on Giant Wholesale’s website are eligible, in most cases, for return without restocking fees within 30 days of receiving your order (bulk purchases, special orders, and "Web Exclusive" items excepted).  All returned products must be in new condition, suitable for resale in its undamaged original packaging and with all original parts; and shall not have been used, installed, modified, rebuilt, reconditioned, repaired, altered or damaged in any way.  Where applicable, shipping and handling charges will not be refunded.  Should any product require return due to a shipping error of Giant Wholesale, we will provide return shipping information (where required) and cover all return shipping costs.  All other returns are at Buyer's expense and choice of carrier for return to our warehouse.

All special orders and "Web Exclusive" items are subject to a deposit ranging from 50% to 100%, at our discretion.  Please be aware that in most cases such items are either non-returnable or subject to freight and re-stocking charges as outlined by our individual vendors.  While Giant Wholesale will work with you to minimize related costs, such fees (where applicable) are charged by our vendors and are beyond our control.  Please be sure to verify all product specifications thoroughly prior to placing your order.  Made to order products are non-returnable. 

Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, all returns must be accompanied by a Return Goods Authorization Number (RGA). To request an RGA number, please contact our office.  The RGA provided must appear on the outside of any packaging as well as any paperwork included.  Only items with an approved RGA will be accepted.  Bulk quantity purchases and special orders are subject to additional handling fees and are based on acceptance by the respective vendor or manufacturer.  Conditions listed above also apply.
